He is currently part of the Worldchefs Presidium as Assistant Vice President. He has been instrumental in the founding of a United Arab Emirates national culinary team. Twenty seven years of active support of the Emirates Culinary Guild (ECG) the UAE association of professional chefs as President for 20 years. Many of the UAE records in the Guinness Book of World Records are as a result of Chef Uwe’s organizational efforts. Author of the 2 Cook Books ‘Chef At Home’ was released by February 2010. ‘Chef At Home Book’ won the Best in 3 Categories at the Gourmand World Cookbook and Flavours of Dubai was released by March 2017 won the 2nd prize in the ‘Best Chef Author’ category at the 22nd Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2017. Latest awards received were on April 2019 Awarded “Lifetime Achievement” in Leaders in Hospitality Awards 2019 by Hotel & Catering News Middle East and on June 2019 awarded “Inspiring Chef Leader of the Year” awarded in Hozpitality Group’s Middle East Chef Excellence Awards
