Kuwaitis to participate in World Pastry Cup Competitions

08 January 2020: Horeca 2020 organizing committee announced the program of the cooking competition that will be held during the Horeca Kuwait 2020 due to be held at Mishref International Fair Grounds in the period of January 20-22, 2020 and organized by Leaders Group in collaboration with Hospitality Services Company. In this regard, Horeca Kuwait executive manager, Mohammed Anees Najia said that this year’s cooking competition jury panel would include the French Academy representative in the Middle East and the GCC states, chef Charles Azar, chairman of the Jordanian Chefs society, Shadi Abo Khadija, senior chef of the American Angus Company, Peter Rosenberg, the head of the French Cooking Academy, Chef Mark Mubash, member of the world’s pastry competition organizing committee the French chef, Nasser Mandi, chairman of KSA’s chefs society, Yasser Jad, the head of the World Association of Chef Societies (WACS), chef, Thomas Gugler, Anil Grover; chef accredited by the World Chefs and the Indian Chefs Society, the owner of Al-Makan Restaurant, chef, Faisal Al-Nashmi, the head of the world culinary competition, chef Samaan Hilal, the founder of the world bakers competition-France, chef Francois Pozzoli and the Academic Director of Le Cordon Bleu London, chef Loic Malfait. Najia added that thanks to the experience accumulated over the previous nine cycles of Horeca Kuwait, the cooking competitions had been achieving annul success and attracting world class A chefs from various cuisines. “This year’s competitions will include 25 categories and participants from Kuwait, both Kuwaiti and expat chefs, will take place in the world Pastry Cup National Selection”, Najia concluded.
